I’m a licensed psychotherapist located in downtown Charlottesville. I use a blend of therapeutic approaches to support you in a way that feels both practical and meaningful. At times, we’ll focus on the present—working with tools from Cognitive BehavioralTherapy (CBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you manage anxiety, negative thought patterns, or habits that feel hard to change. This part of the work is more structured and gives you strategies you can use in your day-to-day life.At other times, we may slow down and explore things more deeply using a Psychodynamic approach. This means looking at patterns in your relationships, past experiences, and underlying emotional themes that may be shaping how you feel and respond today. I move between these approaches depending on what you need in the moment—using practical tools when you feel stuck in a thought loop, and shifting into deeper exploration when something more underlying seems to be driving your experience.
